As a follow on to my original post, I have detailed as best as possible with text and images the procedure of replacing a Kenwood freezer fan motor.
The symptoms of a faulty Kenwood freezer fan motor may include:
A loud rumbling noise from the freezer compartment (goes off when you open the freezer door)
The display shows the Error Code E4
High fridge temperature
Freezer compartment temperature warm in the top & ok in the bottom
Fridge compartment warm in the top & too cold in the bottom

The following steps should successfully guide you through replacing a Kenwood Freezer Fan Motor.
Prior to carrying out any work ensure that the appliance is:
**ALL WORK MUST BE CARRIED OUT BY SUITABLY EXPERIENCED AND QUALIFIED PERSONNEL** ISOLATED FROM THE MAINS ELECTRICITY SUPPLY. TO DO THIS, REMOVE THE APPLIANCE MAINS PLUG FROM THE SOCKET WHICH IT TAKES ITS POWER (ELECTRICITY) SUPPLY AND PROVE DEAD. IF THE APPLIANCE IS HARD WIRED TO A FUSED SPUR, SWITCH THE APPLIANCE OFF AT THE SWITCH PROVIDED AND REMOVE THE FUSE FROM THE SPUR. IF THERE IS NO ACCESS TO THE ABOVE MENTIONED, ISOLATE THE APPLIANCE AT THE FUSE BOARD/CONSUMER UNIT AND PROVE DEAD. NEVER WORK ON LIVE ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT - ELECTRICITY CAN KILL YOU, AND OTHERS AROUND YOU, THROUGH YOUR NEGLEGENT ACTIONS OR EMMISSIONS

Remove the freezer compartment top to shelves to allow full access to the fan rear cover

Remove the small round cover in the middle of the panel using a small flat head screwdriver or something similar
Remove the securing screw using a Philips/Pozi type screwdriver
To remove the rear cover, pull it forwards by the method show. When it is far enough forward, pull it from the gap shown at the side until it is completely removed
Remove the wiring from it's securing points as shown in the image below
Remove the jack plug connections to allow removal of the fan housing/inner cover. There are three jack plug connections however, they will only fit one way so you cannot go wrong

When all the jack plugs are removed, allow the cable to come forward and hang down out of the way
Remove the fan inner panel securing screw as shown using a Philips/Pozi type screwdriver
Release the inner panel securing lugs using a flat head screwdriver. At the same time of releasing the lugs, pull the panel forward to prevent it from going back into place (see next image )

With the panel completely removed from the appliance, release the fan blade retaining spring using a flat head screwdriver - prising it upwards. You may also use a pair of long nose pliers to pull it off. Tip: if you are confident, the fan blade can be removed by hand. Fashion your fingers through the blade impellers and grip it from the underside. Whilst holding the motor assembly with your other hand, pull the blade towards you (the blades are generally tight so be careful)
With the fan blade removed, the motor housing can be fully accessed and the motor can now be removed
Remove the two motor housing screws as shown using a Philips/Pozi type screwdriver
Carefully unclip the front cover to expose the motor inside
Remove the motor from the housing. From the rear of the cover, release the motor wiring from it's securing point and silver foil tape
With the new motor in place, begin the process of rebuilding all parts. To re build the components, follow the steps as shown in reverse. Note: in this image, black dust/residue can be seen in proximity to the motor housing. This is from within the motor, likely to be brass grindings or the like as the bushes or bearing points have worn. Give it a wipe down using a cloth until satisfied.

When re fitting the fan blade, carefully position it on the motor spindle so as not to interfere with surrounding materials. Spin the blade by hand to ensure all is ok prior to the next step.
